Homecoming Registration & Event Selection

  1. Make your selections by clicking the box to the left of the event title.  An event with ***FULL*** at the end of its title has reached its maximum number of participants. If you are interested in a full event, please contact Kelly Ball at kball@warren-wilson.edu or (828) 771-5810 to be placed on the waiting list.
  2. Press "Next" to go to the next step or press "Previous" to return to a previous step. Be sure to use these buttons to move back and forth in your registration, not your web browser's navigation buttons, if you need to make any changes to your registration.
  3. On the following screen, indicate how many in your group will be attending each activity. Click on an event name to view details about that event.

Homecoming 2014 Registration (REQUIRED)
Registration for Homecoming 2014 is REQUIRED. There is no fee but you must register in order to attend any of the Homecoming events.

Have fun shooting a round of golf in support of scholarships! Registration fee includes breakfast, one mulligan and one red tee, greens fees, cart and lunch at the Black Mountain Golf Course. Please arrange your own transportation to the golf course for this event. Cost: $65.

Gee's Bend: From Quilts to Prints, a joint exhibition with Warren Wilson College and The Center for Craft, Creativity & Design features recent quilts and prints made by four accomplished artists from the community of Gee's Bend, Alabama. We will meet at the Elizabeth Holden Gallery, which is located on campus and engage with Julie Caro, co- curator and faculty member and student docents. Together we will travel to The Center for Craft, Creativity & Design in downtown Asheville to view the rest of the exhibition. This is the first time the Gee's Bend quilts and prints will be shown in our region. The exhibition is made possible with the support of the Windgate Charitable Foundation. The morning will conclude with a dutch-treat lunch at Tod's Tasties, a Montford restaurant owned by Jacob '98 and Alicia Sessoms '00. Cost ($5) includes transportation. Maximum participants: 13

Take a four-mile guided raft trip down the French Broad River. This trip is open to children age nine and older if accompanied by an adult. Cost ($15) includes transportation and a bag lunch. Trip departs from the front of Gladfelter. Maximum participants: 11

Warren Wilson College's highly-regarded Master of Fine Arts Program for Writers celebrated its 38th anniversary this summer. The nation's first low-residency MFA program, it is also widely considered the finest. We invite you to experience the writing side of Warren Wilson, featuring:

Serve with fellow alumni and members of the Service Learning Crew at the Black Mountain Community Garden. This community garden provides a space for families of the Swannanoa Valley to grow their own produce, supplies fresh fruits and vegetables to low-income families through local agencies, and teaches children and adults the life-long skills of growing food and sharing with your neighbor. Come play in soil, harvest the summer bounty and get crops planted for the winter. Please preregister for this event. Maximum participants:6

Dinner for Students, Families, and Alumni.
"Kehila" (the Jewish Student Association/WWC Hillel) is hosting a vegetarian/vegan friendly dinner to celebrate Shabbat and Sukkot (the holiday of harvest and pilgrimage) at the Garden Cabin. It will coincide with the BBQ dinner, leaving plenty of time for those who want to venture down to the Farm for square dancing and the bonfire. This event is open to all students, their families, and alumni. We will celebrate the holiday with local fruit and veggies cuisines, and we welcome you to bring your own FAVORITE FAMILY dish to share if you'd like. Light some candles, sing some Shabbat songs, and hang out with new and old friends. Bring an instrument if you like for some music jamming. Shabbat Shalom and Chag Sameach! Head down to the Farm for our traditional feast of freshly smoked pulled pork or barbecued tofu. The WWC Old Time String Band will provide lively entertainment and music for dancing. A bonfire will keep us warm as the sun sets and hayrides are offered too, weather permitting. It's an event for the entire campus, so students, staff and faculty are invited to join in the fun. Cost: Adults: $12; $15 day of event; Children 7-12, $5 Children under 6, Free. (Students are free but do not register for this dinner as it is included in their meal plan)

Enjoy a peaceful 3.1 mile run or walk around the Warren Wilson campus. Meet in front of DeVries Gym to register and take your mark. The course will be marked, and all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate. Registration fees ($5) and all additional donations support the WWC Athletics Fund.
